Queen Anne’s County Arts Council’s Centre for the Arts invites the public to an exhibit featuring photographer Kellen McClusky and 3-D artist Stephanie Zeiler. The exhibit begins Saturday, July 7 with a “Members’ Best” brunch reception from 10 am until noon.
Kellen McClusky has been interested in photography her whole life and looks forward to seriously pursuing her passion behind the camera. Kellen has been a resident of Centreville for six years and grew up in New Jersey. She lived in Washington D.C. and Boulder, Colorado and received her Bachelor of Arts in International Service from American University in D.C. She currently has her work displayed at the Commerce Street Creamery in Centreville and is excited about being featured as one of the artists for the Member’s Best Summer 2012 exhibit. She hopes it will be a stepping stone to more shows. She enjoys shooting subjects of all types but especially likes micro landscapes.
Stephanie Zeiler is a 3D artist who has been the art teacher at Queen Anne’s County High School for 15 years, as well as the school’s visual and performing arts department coordinator. She was one of the finalists for teacher of the year in 2011 and has been the assistant volleyball coach for five years. Stephanie is a long time member of the school’s Relay for Life Team volunteers her time to the Empty Bowls Dinner and Adopt-A- Family.
The “Members’ Best” exhibits range from emerging to established professionals with a wide range of styles and mediums. These rotating exhibits offer artists and audience members an excellent opportunity to participate in a show that reflects the diversity of regional artwork. The Summer Members’ Best show will run from July 7 through August 25.
